I have just finished putting the buttons on this little cardigan and am loving it.
But then I love this pattern. Ravelry tells me that this is my 5th one I’ve made. It’s the Ribbed Baby Jacket by Debbie Bliss which you can find for free online here. It’s knit all in one piece from the back to the front and then you pick up the stitches for the ribbed collar and you are done.
I used Bendigo Luxury 10ply in cream on 5mm circular needles and I just used the one 200g ball which was handy.
Ravelry details are here.
It was a bit of a craft run this morning with the school drop off. Keira had a secret project that I did for a friend at school and will share later on and tillie took this cardigan in to give to her little friend for his little brother, baby Albert. Now that they are both finished it means I can start something new and I’m thinking some knitting for my girls in cotton or spring cotton might be just the thing.
Just lovely Corrie such a beautiful gift.
thank you! I got a picture baby of the gorgeous baby in it and it’s so cute
Such a darling little top! Tillie must have been so proud to give it to her friends baby brother Albert
yes! finn had no interest in taking it in but tillie did:)
What a gorgeous little cardigan for the baby brother. I cant wait to see what you knit for the bigger girls, but I am sure it will be something beautiful. Hope your getting some rest whilst you heal.
I did want to knit a kina but going for something a bit different I think and might do one of tikki’s lovely patterns!
It’s lovely Corrie. I think you are wonderful for knitting this for someone else when you clearly don’t have a lot of ‘spare’ time on your hands. Or could have easily justified keeping it for your Lawson. It’s these kind acts that make the world a much better place!
oh thank you! another friend and school mum had a baby today so already thinking of what to make!
Gorgeous knit Corrie. I love dressing my babe in hand-knitted garments. Lucky friend to receive such a special, heartfelt gift xo
me too, its the only way I know how to keep a baby warm:)
Hi Corrie
Your one is by FAR nicer than the one in the Ravelry pattern picture. I would have passed this pattern by if it wasn’t for your results – thanks!
OH YOU ARE TOO KIND!!!! thank you
