Only one beautiful thing i would make with this fabric and that is a gorgeous quilt for my sweet Clover Blossom who is turning one in another week…she is baby number 5 and possibly my last(wink wink i love babies) and this would look super sweet in her room in her white sleigh cot :-)..p.s nits are the worst, we had it last year and i had to treat 4 kids, 3 of which had hair down their backs, it took a week of combing and treatments and tears but we got through it..

I think I’d use them to make the Farmer’s Wife Quilt that is currently very popular in blogland. I’d join the quiltalong. Regarding lice – best trick i’ve found is to put loads of conditioner in the hair every second night for a week or so and comb through with the lice comb. Wipe the comb after each swipe on a nappy wipe or paper towel so you can see if there are any there. Then rinse out the conditioner.

A summer quilt for my little girl Ruby’s bed.
p.s a tip with the nits if you have a hair straightener it is worth giving the long hair a hit with the iron as it will really kill any eggs you may have missed. I feel your pain as my little girl had them and she has the same blondey hair that your daughter has and it is thick by the third time I was ready to bring the clippers out.

As for knits, thank goodness we haven’t had that disaster since Darwin (up there they are HUGE) but with 3 girls with long hair, kill me now, i can’t stand it. Best trick ever is cheap shampoo, metal fine tooth comb & patience. I cried when we first got them, it was a nightmare & the chemicals affected our only mild asthmatic & we had to call an ambulance, thus my chemical free treatment now. Love Posie

I would make ny brave 10 year old daughter a quilt. She has been unable to walk since January due to a broken hip, from a bike fall. It would sure brighten her day and keep her warm in her wheel chair.

I’ve been on Cotton Way blog the other day and bought her pdf pattern Snickerdoodle to make out of this fabric when it comes out & it needs a charm pack. As for the jelly roll, well I best get back on there now & find a pattern for that…I’m sure I’ll find another quilt pattern….

I love Ruby!!I have a pretty table runner planned for the charm pack,the jelly rolls would make a great quilt for my baby girl(18mths).
I’m just getting into sewing and haven’t seen such beautiful fabric!! Yum! I’d love to use it for a quilted rag bag. I have a Big Shot machine that die cuts fantastic shapes from fabric, and I use the scallop square die to make a super cute bag. This fabric would look awesome!
I have a little Ruby, so it would be fitting to make her something. I have been making the fabric egg’s for her to play with, so maybe make some little cakes to go with them.

Just be sure to follow up in a week, or even every few days if you can manage it. We had a chronic problem when my son was in Yr 1 – he constantly had them for over a month because I didn’t follow up properly. I’ve learnt my lesson now.

I’m a bag/tote or large quilt lover. So the Ruby would definitely be destined for one of those. And as to the pattern? I can’t answer that until I get that sweet Ruby fabric in my hands and I can love on it a little while. Then the pattern will hopefully reveal itself to me. Sooner rather than later.

So sorry to hear that you are dealing with nits. We went through that with our oldest son many years ago. A teacher friend recommended that we always use a blow dryer after shampooing his hair. Supposedly, it help prevent this problem. Love this new line of fabric. I don’t often purchase jelly rolls, but have a new book by Kim Brackett with several patterns that I would like to make.I would purchase an additional charm pack and use the two to make one of the Schnibble patterns by Miss Rosie. Sure hope that your week has improved:)
I would make some gorgeous headbands for my gorgeous girls use some for appliques on clothes and then have lots left for little girls purses and pretty stuff!
There are two options for this gorgeous fabric:
#1 A quilt for my 3yo niece who is lucky enough to have just moved into a brand spanking new bedroom which her loving Aunty Flossy {me] will be helping to decorate or/
#2 A quillow for my car as these are my favourite colours and I’d love to be able to pull out a rug made from this fabric for our many picnics
Either way both will be made with the assistance of my gorgeous Mum.

I was lucky enough to stumble across your blog recently and I love it! I am really enjoying your recipes too! But, as for crafting, I am loving the look of this beautiful Ruby fabric. I am a scrapper but am starting to try my hand at sewing. With a seamstress, patchworker for a mother, I know that this fabric would be a wonderful way to start my first ever quilt!
