You might have noticed the little button down there on my blog for Daffodil Day. You see, next Friday 27th August is Daffodil Day, the annual fundraiser for the Cancer Council and this year they are hoping to raise $9m. For my family it has special significance as my mum’s cancer doesn’t seem to get the message to go away. My family have asked that I not blog about it but her brave battle is never far from my thoughts. So I decided to get the message out there on this little blog of mine about the upcoming day………….
I know lots of my readers and their families and friends have been affected by cancer too, so let’s not forget. I will be donating to the cause and hope when you see someone selling merchandise that you’ll do the same! The statistics are scary and there is no cure but wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was…………..
well done Corrie for getting the message out!
since last year I have heard of sooo many people affected.
hugs to you ♥
Daffodil Day is very special in our family too since we lost my FIL and SIL in the last 7 years both to cancer. I always buy something from their stall and I think it would be wonderful if there was a cure. I do hope your mum’s treatment is fighting against all of it too.
wel done Corrie for sharing a cause close to your heart… we willd efinately be buying a few bunches of daffodils…there bring cheer to a room and help a worthy cause…
Hugs Dawn x x x
I always support things like Dry July, Movember, Relay for Life and a host of others including Daffodil Day. My sister’s cancer has just returned for the fourth time.
As always, I will be supporting Daffodil Day. My younger sister died 18 months ago from breast cancer after an eight year battle with this beast.
Wishing your Mum peace and strength to continue in her effort to win this challenge.

Unfortunately i’ve lost many family member to this horrid disease including my grandmother, grandfather and aunty. Only this week my best friends mother was diagnosed with breast cancer
But there are some amazing stories of people who beat the odds too and live to tell their stories, including my sister who has been cancer for free for 6 years now.
