Well, this is a little embarrassing since I’ve been using overlockers for a few years now – but here is my first ever rolled hem. It was so easy! Why I haven’t done one before I’ll never know, but there is no stopping me now. I did have to pull out the manual and fiddle around but once your overlocker is set up for it you’re on fire. I’m thinking quick tablecloths, placemats and napkins……….so look out fabric, here I come!!
And with Mathildas Market less than 3 weeks away, I think the old sewing machine will be coming into the dining room at night time so I can keep warm and sew up some more stock. I’m currently set up in the back room which would have to be the coldest part of the house but enough is enough I need to get cracking on my sewing list!
Corrie, Corrie, Corrie. I think I remember telling you last year you HAVE TO LEARN how to set your overlocker up to do rolled hems. They look super!!!!

Wow, that looks great. I just put my overlocker in for a service and am booked into a class on how to use it. It was my mother-in-laws & I’ve only used an overlocker once back in high school – so I’m very excited!

Enjoy Corrie…..fantastic, you will be roll hemming everything – its great on quick little dresses and nighties too. That’s where i started many years ago on my little/no so little anymore baby girls clothes – where does the time go.
Can’t believe I’ve never done one either… think I’ll have to look it up. Although, my machine is absolutely ancient so not even sure if it will do a rolled hem! Christine xo
