more bendigo for the stash

I know I go on about it but if you’re not ordering your wool/yarn/knitting stash from bendigo then you need to go and take a look, like NOW! I find them to be such good value and the colours are always getting better! Their latest yarn ‘Highlands’ is a gorgeous tweedy yarn…of course I went straight to the pink shade – Montrose. And $12 per 200g ball, money saver!

It also comes with a free ladies cardy pattern to knit up…..I doubt I’ll get the time to knit it for myself unless I start learning how to knit in my sleep but I might do a hoody for each of my girls. If you’ve never ordered from Bendigo before just ask them for a shade card and you’ll go on their mailing list to always receive their latest specials and new shade cards.

These balls here are for the fair isle cardigan and there will be oodles leftover for matching hats! What a nice big mail delivery that was, I’m so lucky retro daddy isn’t home for the postman!

  1. you’re such a great advocate for Bendigo. Some people poo-poo them but I can’t. For value and range they are fabulous. Love their stuff.

  2. Totally agree Corrie. It makes feeding my addiction affordable and I just love their Luxury yarn, although I have mainly used Classic for the blankets.
How soft is the new range compared to Classic & Luxury?

  3. I’m loving knitting with their Luxury yarn, so lovely and soft! I am just about to order some more. I am also wondering how the Highlands compares to the Luxury in terms of softness?

  4. Fabulous colours Cor. I haven’t got on the knitting addiction bandwagon just yet. I do have all of my Nans knitting needles…
    ;o)

  5. I love their stuff … such good quality for the price. And I have some of the colours of yarn you have too. Now just to find the time to make something out of them. I’ll look out for your fair isle cardi. The colour scheme you’ve chosen is a winner for me.

  6. I just put an oder in yesterday (8 balls heading there way here) ut didnot see this new yarn (I have not been getting there updates – never seem to – even when I buy all of the time:( Love this new one though – looks very similar to Patons County Naturals. Will have to order some next order.

And I agree with you – there colours are getting better – I just wish that they would start advertising there yarn with nicer patterns – they are a littl too stuck in the 70’s for me! (or maybe 50’s:)

  7. You make me wish I could knit more than a scarf!! Maybe one day…
