when you get a box of chocolates for mothers day the size of your palm, it’s a good idea to take your family to the florist and pick something yourself!!!! first up we had to spoil my own mum with a lovely boxed arrangement.
so pretty and I love the gorgeous mini cabbages in there, so pretty amongst the delicate flowers.
it’s also a great way to practice your camera skills…I took all of these using the macro function (that would be the tulip button) on my DSLR.
and what did I get? some simple hyacinths that I can plant in the garden…
I am practical, sometimes!
Happy mothers day Corrie, looks like you are enjoying it! Gorgeous photos.

I’m a big fan of those mini cabbages!
Hyacinths are one of my faves too – a simple posy of fresias is much prettier to me than a bunch of roses.
Plants, ace idea, you can you know, plant them & have them forever, lovely shots!! Happy Mother’s Day again to you & your mummy too, love Posie
They are gorgeous photos!
All us mothers have quite a bit of say over what we get on Mother’s Day
Please put the word out to pick something other than conventional cut flowers. Most of them come from Colombia and Ecuador where pesticide overuse is damaging the health of workers, villagers and the surrounding environment. Miscarriages are one of the most tragic side effects of this huge multi-national industry.
American grown live plant gifts are a better choice
