darla pj’s

Retro daddy set off this afternoon on his run leaving me to clean up the back room, in other words tidy up my sewing area! So I did that quickly (ok I partly cleaned my area) and moved on to some cute pj’s for my miss keira. It’s cool at night but not cool enough for winter pj’s…

hanging around in her new pj's

so I took some darla fabric, vintage size 4 pants pattern (I love my old stash of patterns because I can always find a basic pattern in there and they were cut and ready to go) and a $4 tee and set to work

keira's new pj's

1 hour later and little miss has cute pj’s! At first she wasn’t so keen and asked me to make her a tail and colourful boobies so she could be ariel the mermaid (apparently her new sister is going to be called ariel too….we don’t know what we’re having yet but keira won’t entertain the idea that it could be a boy)……somehow I managed to bribe her with some mummy sparkly lip gloss and now she loves them…

posing

and she’s such a poser! We took about 30 photos but these were the cutest and funniest!!!!!! ok now I need to clean the floor out the back, cleaning my sewing room always seems like wasted time!

  1. Keira’s pj’s look so adorable. Doesnt Keira like her brother – I guess she wont be happy if she ends up having 2 brothers then will she, lol! I am sure Isabelle would have preferred having a sister instead of a brother too most of the time.

  2. They look great – LOL at the non tidy room and the love hate with cleaning – I should be washing and ironing after our tripaway ans sortig out the room for guests next week – it is so over rated:)

Your first knit for the year is great as well – might have to put in an order for some of that yarn tomorrow!

  3. Gorgeous PJ’s and an even prettier model!

  4. Very cute! I had to track down an Ariel barbie for my daughters birthday and had to buy a set of 5 princesses to get it..

  5. Love the PJ’s. I bet she wants a sister, what girl doesn’t?

Love your knitting took, but I think you have to knit for 4 and not for 3 kids ;-). Baby stuff is finished even quicker, you will manage!

  6. Perhaps Keira is afraid of “boy germs!” Those PJs look super comfy.

  7. Lovely pjs! I never ever tire of “Darla”. It always looks so pretty. Love the poses! An up and coming super model I think :) Hope all is well :)

  8. so sweet, gorgeous pjs and I love the little cutie and her new shrug in your last post too!!

  9. ADorable…. as always.
    :-)

  10. gorgeous pj’s, gorgeous model! Clearly to keep miss Keira happy you need to produce not a girl or boy but a mermaid ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. Those PJ’s are divine. Any chance they would be popping up at your next market???

  12. Keira is a total superstar! Such a cutie and the pj’s are pretty cute too ๐Ÿ˜‰
I tidied my sewing area yesterday, well the floor, so now if I want to use the machine I have to find it under all the crap lol! xox

  13. I love Keira’s Darla pj’s, never grow tired of Darla either. I live in Perth and my friend bought my 9mth old a Darla dress from you at Allie’s Attic last year ( I sent her to your stall) and another dress for my 22mth old. I also have 2 boys 8 & 5. So as you’re soon to be a mother of 4 aswell, I wish you well. It’s fantastic, daunting at first but so lovely. I’ve been reading your blog for just under a year now Corrie and I love it! Always look forward to seeing what little treasures you create!

  14. Grandmummy thinks Keira looks very cute in her pjs and Corrie is such a clever girl. Must be in the genes.

  15. Oh – your girls are so beautiful.
    But you already knew that!

Looks like a very satisfying project – as was the cute little cardi.

    have a happy day.
    xx Amy

  16. Oh joy to be back on line again, phew, i missed you most of all (thus sms)!! Super cute pyjamas & love that she expects another girl out of you, he he, we can match, 3 girls & one boy, including twins, ahhhh, i can assure you it’s a great mix!! Loving Tillie’s knitted shrug too, adorable, little thumb sucker that she is. Hugs, love Posie

  17. Wait…isn’t this the little Keira who used to hate to pose for the camera? She’s so adorable and LOVE that Darla! I’m still smiling about the fact that she won’t hear of a boy!

  18. I love those PJs! Soo sweet! And that shrug is adorable. What gorgeous models you have there!
