You can never have too many craft or cookbooks! And I have a real soft spot for japanese books translated into english…here is my latest purchase
I know keira doesn’t start school till next year but I think she could have the best lunch box in kindergarten with a hello kitty riceball!
teddy bear pancakes
I can’t wait to try out a few recipes on my little ones and I’m sure they’ll play with it before they eat it!
I just have to keep the book away from them all in the meantime as they are all fighting over it to have a look….and that means ripped pages!
Are you kidding me, OMG, i have to show the children those lunch boxes, only to admit & confirm my poor effort!! Wow, the Hello Kitty, cutest lunch box EVER!! Thanks for the inspiration, love Posie
WOW! I have never seen anything like it! Cute and yummy!! Totally want that book xox
Oh. My. Gosh! That makes me want to have little kids again. Heck — forget that — I want to take that in MY lunchbox!!! Too CUTE!
Oh I love it!!!!
Have just purchased my very own copy.
Thanks for the heads up on this gorgeous book.
Oh how freaking adorable…those would be very envied for sure.
Wow how amazing are those bento lunchboxes. Keira will obviously have lots of kiddies wanting to try her lunchbox goodies wont she!
these are too cute…. I don’t have time though to make the fancy sushi for the lunch box.
Such a cute book. I love how the Japanese make cute!
I found some bento box rice molds just before Christmas in one of those cheap shops – they actually had quite a range of cute japanese plastic boxes, but the rice molds are a teddy bear, a heart and a star. They’re specially made for sushi rice, with vents and compress properly. $3!
You want me to pick one up for you?

I agree with you about never having too many craft or cook books! Keira is going to be the proudest preppie next year opening a lunch box filled with those goodies. Even her teachers will want to trade lunches with her! Hope all is well
Those are way too cute! Love them!
I love these, Corrie. I used to love reading a blog called The Vegan Lunchbox that was filled with great ideas for lunches. Neither of my school kids like sandwiches so I am always having to come up with lunchbox friendly dishes that they’ll enjoy. I might have to get a copy of this book too!
These are adorable! And the best news is that the library has it.
