nicey jane blocks

After a fun morning at the movies watching Princess and the Frog (a good new disney movie but a little bit scary for my little miss), I got down to some sewing and finished my nicey jane blocks. I needed 20 all up and here they are…..I used part of a jolly pack and this fat quarter pack. The afternoon sun snuck in the photo too as I’m sewing out in the super sunny back room while we have a young exchange student with us this month…I miss my craft room already and it’s only day 2 but miss keira l-o-v-e-s her new teenage ‘sister’!

20 nicey jane blocks done

I’ve also ironed and cut my white sashing strips and tonight will put the top together and all thing going well start quilting tomorrow afternoon. We have a little agreement that retro daddy gets his run in the morning for an hour and I get my sewing time in the afternoon….just an hour or two in the afternoon gives me a headstart for my night time sewing and quilting!

Must be a day for movies, my husband took our 3 youngest to see Planet 51 & somehow came home with a new laptop. Never ceases to amaze me what he manages with children in tow!! He’s back at the cinema watching Sherlock Holmes while i update my website. Could enjoy it if i wasn’t so heady all day. Love Posie
