I really do love Christmas and this is my favourite christmas fabric….michael miller from a couple of years ago at spotlight (of all places). Far too precious to sew for market but I thought a quick top for keira would be nice as she is feeling a little bit upset that the big rack of dresses aren’t all for her!
and while keira now stands still for photos, she is rather fond of the goofy face, once the photo is taken she races around to take a look and kills herself laughing at her silly face! hilarious!
And I must put the tree up tonight….I’m normally itching to put it up on the 1st December but we’ve just been so busy and I’m not prepared to climb into the attic and bring down the tree and decorations…that is strictly for retro daddy! I’m guessing you all have your trees up????
Sweet fabric.
Yes, our tree is up, but we have only decorated the top half because of a cheeky little elf who is now walking.
mine tree isn’t up yet! tomorrow’s after-school project!
Oh what gorgeous fabric Corrie. Keira looks so cute with her goofy face. I put my tree up last weekend as we are busy for the next 2 weeks so it was either then or struggle to get it done one night this week! I found some of that lovely mermaid fabric at my local Spotties on Saturday too but didnt buy any. They seem to have some really nice fabrics lately.
No tree up in our house either!!Feels like Christmas will be over before I get anytime to do it!!
So sweet. Love the fabric.
My tree is up as I had to do it for our Christmas party last night. Glad it is done so I can concentrate on Christmas now.
Not yet, we usually wait until after our oldest son’s birthday, which is today. Hopefully this week. Love the top, super cute.
That fabric is very cute! I haven’t seen that one before. I am totally loving Angel Cakes in the green colourway (Alexander Henry) for this year’s christmas! So gorgeous!
Amy, yes its an old one, I think I’d just starting sewing again and keira was a small baby when I found it at spotlight! must look out for the AH one!
Corrie;)
just started putting up today, i am a pest, i sit on the sofa and see some decoration to move around and jump up and do it, eventually there is an end.Love the top
We get a real tree from the local Christmas Tree Farm, so won;t have it until the weekend before Christmas. The wreath is on the door though.
I can totally recommend getting in quick on the Angel Cakes! The green (not the red) is selling out everywhere online super quick… you would love it! The green is almost exactly the same “pistachio” colour of the japanese fabrics… really adorable!! ๐
p.s here’s a pillowcase dress like you are making out of it for sale on etsy

sorry i am a terrible enabler… it is christmas time! i love christmas time as well!!
Keira is looking so grown up now! Such a cute kid! (oh, and cute tee too!!)
Keira looks lovely in her dress
I was at spotlight recently and was chatting to the lady who was organising the quilt fabrics – she told me that Spotlight have changed suppliers for their quilt fabric and they will now be Michael Miller designs. Not sure if she meant all the quilt fabric (but they were going to discount most of it to empty the shelves. The store manager told me that they will have MMF printed on the side (and not his whole name) – I guess they will be reprints of older designs and probably not current ranges. Seen a bit of it at my local store, but not heaps.
That print is adorable. Love it. Our tree won’t be up until we’re overseas. Can’t wait! xo m.
Amy, you’re evil as that alexander henry print is divine! I can’t stop thinking about it now!
Lynne, that would explain why I’m loving the new stuff coming into SL in the quilting section!!!!!
lovely fabric, no tree up yet over here either, but we did manage to get all the bits for it out the attic!
Awww, too cute! That is very clever Christmas fabric too. And no trees up yet for me — must get in gear!
Well i just heart Keira, what a beautiful model!! Love Posie
Very cute One tree is up (The fake one), other one (the real one) goes up today…we don’t do things by halves in our family!
That top is so sweet.
No tree here yet – project for this weekend. We can’t get a real one too early or it looks dead before Christmas.
