oh gardenias, you get me every time with your smell and beauty! your shiny leaves, your fragrance, your colour! you’re just a perfect flower……..
so, we went to the garden shop this week and this is a selection of what came home with us. Sydney girls we had the most beautiful warm scones and muffins fresh out of the oven at this cafe, the kids can play on their outdoor equipment and you watch them from the balcony! I’m thinking a blog meet, no???
We hopped in the car and 1 minute up the road is one of my favourite nurseries so its a great morning or afternoon out! The CFO of the family was with us so I couldn’t go crazy over cabbage roses and lavender! next time….
These would have to be one of my all time favourite fragrances!!!
Oh I understand … one of my fave things walking to work on the Nthn Beaches ( when I lived there ) was the scent of the gardenias in peoples gardens I passed by.
My wedding bouquet was gardenia and stephanotis oh so pretty!
We’re fairly frequent visitors to the Hills Flower Market, it’s great for mother’s group get together so would be perfect for bloggers meet wtih so many kids in tow.
I’ve been admiring my fabric today and planning projects!!
I’m crazy about gardenias myself! Their parfum is so suave and invigorating! I feel the same way abouy basil!!
I like it when they come out around Christmas and you can smell them from inside. I haven’t had one for nearly 10 years. I did plant one at our new house of 2 years that we haven’t moved into yet, and it is growing well. I hope we smell it one night, maybe this Christmas?
That is a great cafe and play are for the kids
I am very jealous – it is just too damn hot up here for them to do well without wasting heaps of water on them!!!
Oh how I love gardenia’s! Blog meet sounds like fun, so wish I was in Melb. or Sydney with all you lovely creative peeps sometimes….but wait, then I couldn’t go swimming everyday of the year outside 😉 xox
