there is a quilt in progress on the sewing room floor…when finished it will fit the single bed in the room. I decided to use a bit of everything and it will be my biggest quilt to date. I’m joining a quilting group tomorrow (located a convenient 5 minutes away) so hope to have it finished to sit and hand quilt a floral design all over it……yes that will be a lot of flowers!
and here is the stash clean up in progress..the fabrics are piled two deep and there is still a bed covered in piles of fabric too…its good reason to stop buying for a while….I can’t believe the stash only started two years ago…whooooooops
Very pretty. I’m seeing a matching cushion………. maybe some applique flowers as well…………….
All those fabrics look so beautiful together in that quilt. Most people have a stash of some sort dont they. I have to say I like my fabric stash just as much as my yarn stash, although the yarn one is about 10 times bigger! Enjoy your quilting day too.
I’m drooling over the quilt and the stash!
the hand quilting will be beautiful, I hope it goes well. Maybe you could think about big stitch quilting, with a pearl embroidery thread to make it go faster? Oh, and look after your hands, take rests. It’s going to be lovely.
Looks great Corrie! Hand quilting is addictive isn’t it? I love having something to work on in the evenings. And, I look forward to hearing about the quilt group. I’d love to find a group to join near me. And I must post a photo of my stash. Lack of room has kept my fabric purchases to a minimum because my entire sewing kit needs to fit in one of those green eco shopping bags! Amelia.
The quilt look slovely and a great stash buster! That is one great fabric stassh you have! It all looks like lovely fabric too.
oh i so wish my stash looked that nice and neat…
i do clean up every now and then…but i tend to turn it into a mess in less time it takes the kids to trash the longue room…
great colour combos
hope you’ve got mothballs in those stacks!
very pretty, remember sooner you use the stash the sooner you can replenish! yay
