It’s very simple to make and if you do your tart shell ahead of time then the hard work is out of the way.
Pastry
120g soft butter
100g icing sugar
1 egg
200g sifted plain flour
Ganache
100g dark chocolate
100ml whipping cream
110g smarties (or just buy a big bag to enjoy and save some for the tart)
Stir well until the chocolate melts and you have a smooth glossy mixture. Now I missed this bit but leave your ganache to cool and thicken. I didn’t do this but it still worked out. Now pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell and place smarties on top. Pop in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until you need it. Enjoy.
So simple!! And I’m sure it’s something that would be very welcomed in our house.
So how many Weight Watchers points do you think are in a piece?? 😉
Looks yum, yum.
I’ve used that pastry recipe before, it’s so easy.
Ooh that looks just a tiny bit decadent! Yum!
Oh what a gorgeous looking Treat! Who would not want a slice of this? Its visually delightful Corrie!
What were you thinking… how are you going to share this sweetness with us? No fare…Oh, can you mail me a piece? LOL. Love you!
Corrie, you’re amazing. And all that baking without a kitchen? How do you manage that?
Yuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm!
Yum Retromummy! I think I’d replace the smarties with m&ms though… addicted to those here!
How are you managing without your kitchen? Have you got something makeshift set up? This tart looks evil, I hope it holds up in the heat.

Thanks so much for the recipe! I just made a cheaty one (store bought pie shell) to take to a BBQ this afternoon. It was perfect timing as I offered to bring a dessert, but have already cooked myself out this week and this was so quick and easy.
Hi corrie,
I shall be trying this tart tomorrow. Based on all your great recipes I have been inspired to get a Thermomix aswell and I am falling in LOVE. If you have a chance you may like to have a little look at my online store:

I think your girls would look gorgeous in some of my handmade clothes over the summer!
Thanks again

Looks pretty yummy for adults too
Oooo yes! This looks just perfect for our household… well maybe for hubby and I ;o) Might be a little too rich for the kiddies, more for us! Thanks for sharing Corrie xo
Oh Yum! I must try this recipe – sounds so easy xo
Simple and looks delish. I tried it last night, though we have egg restrictions so I just used icy water and made 4 individual tarts with sprinkles on top (cause we were out of smarties!) and they look really cute.
Thanks for the receipe and idea x
love it!!! gotta definetly try this one! :):)
