simple chocolate cake

What you'll need
  • 125g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3 eggs
  • 165g caster sugar
  • 220g self raising flour
  • 50g cocoa
  • 160ml light pouring cream/milk
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in your Thermomix bowl and process on speed 5 for 1 minute. Scrape down half way through.
  2. If you don't have a Thermomix just place them in your mixer or food processor and process 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into a lined cake tin or a buttered and lightly floured tin and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
  4. When a skewer or knife comes out clean your cake is done.
  5. Leave cake in pan for a few minutes then lift out with paper and leave to cool on cooling rack. I enjoyed a warm slice or two.
  6. Ice with a simple chocolate icing or just enjoy
