Recipe type: Baking
Serves: 16
What you'll need
  • 500g bakers flour (I use Lighthouse brand)
  • 1 sachet dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50g oats
  • 1-2Tbsp honey
  • 30g Olive oil
  • 500g lukewarm water
Instructions
  1. Place all of the ingredients in your thermomix bowl. With dial on closed lid, knead for 2½ minutes on interval speed (that's the little wheat sign).
  2. You can also do the kneading in a Kitchen Aid or using your good old hands. Just combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well then knead on a lightly floured board. It's a very sticky mixture and you want it to stay sticky so don't go overboard with the flour.
  3. Place the mixture in a 20cm square baking tin/dish (I lined mine with baking paper or you can grease it) and leave it in a warm spot with a clean tea towel over the top to rise. About 30 minutes. The dough should have risen to the top of your tin
  4. Sprinkle about a Tablespoon of oats over the top.
  5. Bake in a 200C/400F oven for about 40 minutes. It will look lovely and golden and when you tap the top of the loaf it will sound hollow.
  6. Leave in the tin for about 5 minutes then remove and slice and eat.
