Day 17 at home

Well how are you all going in isolation? I decided that on the 1st day when our entire household was staying at home to document it on instagram each day. And I’m so glad I did because the days are going by so quickly and I can’t believe that it’s been 17 days since life has been like this. We decided to take a week or two off the school books and will go back to homeschool next week and will have 2 new members of the household doing school via their computers with us too.

There has been a lot of baking….I picked up the latest book by Monday Morning Cooking Club and its just baking and desserts and is amazing. So far we’ve made an apple and jam cake and lemon bars and on Sunday we’ll be making coconut and passionfruit cake to have after our Easter Sunday lunch.

There has been some crochet, some knitting, lots of long walks and bike rides, a lot of cleaning and laundry (too much if you ask me),  we have been lucky enough to have our carers still come in and help out which is making life easier for our Elodie who now does all of her therapies online. Having someone here to help her do her therapies and take her for a bike ride and do some craft keeps her happy but it is hard. I know having everyone home can be hard work and I am really missing our swimming lessons, library trips, shopping centre visits for donuts and a walk around and all the lovely people we usually get to see each week.

Take care and I hope you are all getting through these difficult times. I never could have imagined that I would wear a face mask to do the weekly shopping or that a trip to target to pick up my order of Easter pjs for the kids would be the highlight of my week!

  1. Does this Lemon slice recipe need to be purchased because for the life of me I can not find it anywhere and it looks soooooo delicious!!

  2. Have you got a pattern to make face masks? I’m not very good at sewing. Stay well xx
