A very special day here as our baby girl turns 3 today! It’s hard to believe she’s only been with us for 3 years as it seems like she’s just always been here. From the moment she was born I couldn’t get past just how cute she was. She had the most adorable little lips and double chin and still today is the cutest little bundle of a girl
her birthday is a day to celebrate that she is here and with us and to us she is perfect. She teaches us patience, love and understanding and that life is to be lived. Elodie does things in elodie time not according to the ‘blue book’ or the schedule.
oh and I couldn’t help but put this one in…..all that green carpet for our first christmas in this house.
She is headstrong too, it’s elodie’s way or the highway. There is no middle ground or compromise unless you have some sorbet or lemonade and then she might go your way. We have so many funny stories about her. At church we always sit in the same seat, one week this year we arrived and someone was sitting there so we snuck past and sat nearby, not elodie she stopped and stared at the family sitting in our seats and we had to go back and collect her and bring her with us.
and she loves to pull faces! loves!
she loves to be with the bigger kids and emerson. She loves climbing the stairs, doing things for herself, she might not say a lot but she has perfected the words that she can and often sings out mum and I say yes and she says mum and I say yes and we do this 10 or 20 times. Neither of us mind as it’s sweet. We communicate in our little way. She loves to give kisses to mummy and daddy and say ‘ i laaaa ooo’ for I love you. She has a total sweet tooth, not such a fan of vegetables and loves to eat bananas and dump the peels wherever you feels like. Oh and elodie is a big fan of puzzles…..loves puzzles.
This little miss really is a sweet and charming girl and I hope that people always see her for who she really is. Life without elodie in this family would be no life at all. Challenges are just something that keep us on our toes and love is what keeps us going.
I will never give up fighting for her and making sure that she gets the best of everything. I just know that she will have a wonderful life in our family and we will look back and we will say that we did the very best for her that we could do. The past 12 months have seen us go down a road that we didn’t expect but life is so good with elodie and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact I can’t imagine it any other way.
so happy birthday to my sweet sweet elodie and may all of your dreams and birthday wishes come true………….and if you’ll please excuse me I have a chocolate birthday cake to make.
