long time no fabric giveaway 1

Well it has been a long time between fabric giveaways. I’ve been getting organised and up to date on all my past giveaways. I still have 2 running – the mother/daughter netball session with me, Keira and Liz Ellis here and the 4 x $1000 family bike packages here. And now it’s fabric time. I have 3 fabric giveaways coming up in the next few weeks as I’ve just had a few deliveries. This fabric is due to be released in September and is the latest range from Kate Spain, called Sunnyside.

It’s fresh and fun with shades of blue, green, purple, yellow, grey and orange. I’ve started using a layer cake to make this fun quilt – excuse a few triangles going the wrong way. It’s a long weekend here and I’ve been taking 20 minute breaks from what I’m doing to duck into my craft room, cut a few more squares in half and pop them into place. This quilt will probably hang over the couch and I’m just loving the colours.

I’m giving away a layer cake and charm square pack to the winner. And I’ll have 2 runners up prizes of a charm square pack each. You can enter wherever you live in the world, one entry per person.

Just tell me what you’re going to make with this prize and I’ll pick the best answer.

Good luck! I’ll pick a winner this time next week.

    Corrie,
I just started quilting this year but have caught the bug and am loving it.
I really want to make a quilt for Ana, the incredible lady who looks after my 2 boys in family day care. She is wonderful and every year I try to give her a Christmas gift to show her how much she means to us. I’m not sure I’ve really got the ‘perfect’ gift yet, but I’m hoping making her a quilt will be the best way to show her we love her. I think Sunnyside looks perfect for the quilt for Ana.

  45. I would make a rag quilt, as I’m still learning, I was quite distressed to realise I will need to iron if I’m going to quilt.

  46. Oh, I love anything Kate Spain! Being fabric, the only logical thing for me to do with it would be make a quilt. It looks as though it’d go nicely with a deep French blue for a lovely baby quilt; my friend in Israel is expecting her third baby soon and this would be ideal!

  47. I’d use it to teach a friend the basics of quilting- she and her kids came to visit today and the hit of the afternoon was the fabric scrap basket with the 5 + 8 year old. I have a sewing date with all 3 planned for the near future! Love the fabric, bright and modern and just what a new quilter needs to start.

  54. I would make a lovely quilt for our terrace furniture. Summer is starting here, at last!!

  55. I would make my very first quilt! *gulp* For my birthday this year my unreal banana peel husband got me a Brother sewing machine (the one you recommended – NV600 – it is SO fab, thx!) and I’ve been doing lots of sewing and am getting much more confident… so I think it’s time to stop drooling over all the quilts, and start making some!! :)

  56. A quilt for one of my three teenage sons. It’s nice to see a range of fabrics that isn’t hopelessly girly.

  57. This fabric just shouts out load “Summer is here”. I would make a lovely picnic quilt to take with me when I go out with my two darling grandchildren, who just love eating ‘al fresco’.

  58. That fabric is so fresh… i would use the fabric to re-cover the bentwood rocker sitting in the spare room ( painted a horrible brown with outdated, floral material)… i would strip it back and paint the rocker itself antique white. I also have a queen-anne legged foot stool that desperately needs a new life, and would match the re-cover the footstool and make a washable cover :) xxx

  59. Love Kate Spain! I’m sure there is something in my Pinterest boards I could make. Being limited in the size of the fabric pieces, something small would be good. I’ve been eyeing off those little house pin cushions (and a few for my friends too) and a matching cover for my machine. Both would brighten up my sewing room.
    Thanks for the giveaway

  60. I desperately need new cushions for our family room. My daughters dog Harley (who lives with his Mum & Dad in Townsville now!!) ate all of the ones we had when he lived with us the last 18 months. 69. Kathy MacKie says:

If I won I know I’d feel like I was waiting for Christmas watching the mailman like a hawk for my package to arrive by post. Once it was delivered I know I would carefully open it, like really you know I’d frantically rip it open and oh and ah it when I first set eyes on my new fabric. Mine, all mine and free to boot, who could be more lucky than me. Knowing I have a quilt group to prepare for I would carefully slip into a Ziploc Bag because all quilters know you can’t live without those plastic storage bags. It would be my show and tell, how lucky I am to win this prettiness and it wouldn’t be beneath me to flash it a bit for my friends to fondle. After a couple of weeks my next quilt class would be the following day and I’d hopefully be able to use this win but alas I still can’t use it because, well it just looks so pretty just the way it is you know. It’s been a month and still it sits on my cutting table front and center so I can see it everyday first thing as I treat myself to some quilty time. I’m still trying to think of some project worthy of this great giveaway win and then it hits me, yes something I will see everyday, a sewing machine cover. So you see I will take my time to enjoy it before it’s transformed into something fun and unique to me.

  74. Nicole Stephenson says:

Hi, I would love to make a quilt with those great colours. I see your quilts and I sit in Awe. I don’t have the talent to put all the different colour/type fabrics together, so by getting all the coorindating fabrics chosen for me, that would be great. Fingers crossed (would love to get good at it to make one for my niece).

  75. I would make a hexie quilt for my Dad and his new wife – their house is always so cold! Gorgeous fabric.

  76. Georgia Brungs says:

With 9 close friends and family all having babies starting in August this year I am on a mission to quilt a cot quilt for all of them but the one person I would love to make a quilt for out of this fabric would be for my cosin whose baby isn’t due until August but her waters broke on Friday and they are just praying that their little girl stays put for as long as possible. I would love to be able to make a beautiful quilt for their little girl so they have something handmade and special even though their little girl won’t be able to come home for at least 4-6 weeks. Thanks for the chance Corrie x

  77. I am busily making quilts for a quilting bee for sick babies and children in Hornsby Hospital. I’ve got heaps of “babyish” fabric but THIS gorgeous Kate Spain fabric would make a perfect quilt to brighten a teenage girl’s room in hospital. Being in hospital can be so isolating for young people so it would be fantastic to be able to use this fabric to bring a young patient a little sense of “home”. Thanks for another generous giveaway! :)

  78. I’ve never quilted before. This would be a good start for me, making a table runner. :) Thanks, Corrie!

  79. Ruthena Clelment says:

A quilt for my brand new granddaughter, Phoebe, 10 weeks old and rolling over already. In fact, my only grand child. We have waited a long time for Phoebe and love her very much. Three sons in my family so it is lovely to have a little girl to sew for.

  80. Well I am a beginner and I would really like to make a special patchwork cushion cover for my Dad who is turning 60 in a couple of weeks. He is such a wonderful Dad who adores his grandchildren and it would be so lovely if we could make him a very special present for his big birthday! xx

  81. I would enjoy looking @ this gorgeous fabric while I work up the courage to attempt my first quilt for all of us to use in our lounge room and I’m sure my children would also use for play – teddy bears picnics or afternoon tea! I use to see when I was @ school & it has been so long since I’ve done anything. My husbands nan recently gifted her over locker & sewing machine so this would be beautiful fabric to work with for my return to sewing!!

Thanks for the opportunity to dream!

  82. A table runner with a bit of each fabric & two matching placemats, then individualised placemats for each member of our family. 4 kids + Mum & Dad. :)

  85. Jenny kilpatrick says:

The Sunnyside range by Kate Spain is absolutely beautiful. The colours in this range I can see in a lap quilt on my sofa. I have just signed up for a Craftsy course using precuts. Would be great to be able to have this finished before the range is available. Thanks for the chance of doing this.

  86. These Fabrics are gorgeous! I would love to make a quilt for my baby girl – due in just under 2 months! :)

  87. Natasha Andrews says:

Last week I got my first ever sewing machine I am 40! Today I went to Spotlight and got my sewing kit sorted – $150 later and no material or patterns yet!!

So if I were lucky enough to win this I would start by making bunting as I hear that is a good place to start and then hopefully move on to using some in a quilt for my neighbors new baby

  88. Michelle says:

I would love to use it to make a set of placemats and table runner for my father-in-law and his wife for their caravan. I have been promising them for a looooong time now and the colors would be just perfect! Would more than likely have enough for a couple of cushions too (to make up for how long it’s taken….)

Thanks for the chance to win!

  89. Love your quilt and what gorgeous fabric! I think I would love to make a table runner and some matching placemats from it!

  90. I love the fabric and would make my niece a quilt, possibly a kaliedoscope quilt. Thanks for the give away.

  91. If I won I would give it to my daughter who is just getting into quilting and wants to ‘make a hexagon quilt like Corries’. and the charm packs I had in my stash (From Corrie) weren’t bright enough.

  92. Deborah says:

Oh I love love this fabric! I would definitely make a quilt for my bed – to replace the old and tattered patchwork throw I have on there at the moment! Thanks!

I would like some new accessories for my kitchen, a couple of table runners, pot holders, mitt, hand towel etc. My kitchen, dining & family room walls are a basic cream but with the right tones it takes on a much warmer yellow tone. I’d probably make a quilt with it, as I am definitely addicted to quilting now.

  101. Thanks for the giveaway Corrie. I struggle with choosing colours and fabrics that complement each other so these packs would be perfect. I would share the fabric with my mum so we could each make a quilt. She has been a sewer since she was young and is now teaching me. We are both new to quilts and are loving making them for all the gorgeous new mums we are to be surrounded by. Susie

  102. Patchwork baby clothes would be so much fun.

  103. With baby no.5 due in a week I desperately need a project to look forward to. You see my babies are not easy. Severe reflux has meant 3of 4 were on meds till between 3.5 & 5 years and the paed has said the odds are not in this little ones favour. I just finished a massive project of 4 quilts for my children made from their baby clothes to give to them when I go into hospital. Now I need a project to dream about while I am comforting my crying baby. Am I the only one that chats to my little ones about projects when there is nothing more I can do to comfort them but hold them?

  104. I would make a bag to save my cross stitch work!
    Thanks .

  105. Hi Corrie! The colours in this fabric collection are just divine :-) I would love to have a go at making some cushion covers. I’ve had the inserts for an age, just have been looking for the “right” covers! Think I found them!! Jetts ox

This may be hard to believe… I have never had a layer cake before! If there is enough fabric leftover I’d make one of those fancy-shancy bed runners! Thanks for the chance!

  110. I am crushing on those colours!! I would totally make my first disappearing 9 patch quilt with those fabrics, for the living room so my big teenager could cuddle up on the couch under something not so “girlie”!!

  116. I would like to make a fan cover (yep, this thing is just so hard to clean from the dust uter no-use at winter) and a round funny pillow, both for my son bedroom. This fubric will worl just fun!

  117. Rebecca Bray says:

Sorry to admit this Corrie I have no idea what a layer cake is. Judging by the other comments I guess I’d have enough fabric to make pretty dresses for my girls. I’ve never made clothes before but you’re site is very inspiring so I would love to give it a go using that gorgeous fabric. I was shopping at the weekend just browsing and I was able to resist buying a really simple dress like the pillowcase designs you showcase. I thought I’d give that a go as I’ve seen Corrie explain how easy they are to make. The girls would love matching dresses for their dolls so depending on the amount of fabric id give that a go. Thanks for a great blog xxxx Rebecca mummy to Ellie 3 and Izzie 2

  118. Oh may, this will not be the best answer, but I would make a cozy quilt to snuggle in the sunshine-fabrics, when outside it´s raining. Just in the moment it rains again in Germany, and we have really enough water (every where the rivers are out of the beds). I LIKE TO HAVE SUNSHINE, and when it is only an fabric.

  119. I’m just loving these great colours! My son (6 years old) would love it if I would make a big pillow case for his bedroom with this fabric. I just started quilting so I’d be thrilled to win this and make him something nice for his bedroom.

By the way, I just love your blog, thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us.

    X Wendy

  120. I would make a quilt for my youngest daughter. I am busy trying to make quilts for each of the girls – the middle one has one in the works. Now it is time to think about one for my 17 year old. The fabrics would suit her – modern and fun.

  121. My mom lives 3,000 km away from me, so I want her to have the things that remind her about me and keep a part of me. She’ll come on vacation in august and sunnyside quilt will be a wonderful gift for her.

  122. I am blessed with a seamstress/patchworker for a mum. While I am super crafty I used to think sewing had jumped a generation with me but now, with my 14yr old daughter learning to sew I am hooked as well! If I was your lucky winner I would start by making a patchwork ipad cover and fabric jewellery (doing a course in the upcoming school holidays). My other school holiday project by the way are sock monkeys!

  123. Hi : )
I’ve been wanting to make a quiet church book for some time for my four year old daughter. But not the daggy kind. I’ve been waiting for the right material. And I think this fabric range has great lines, perfectly modern & I could have the fabric dolls sporting a bit of a retro look with the orange don’t you think?..

  124. Michele C says:

I’m hoping to make my son’s extremely patient and enthusiastic year 2 teacher a quilt to thank her for a great year. It takes me so long to finish a quilt that I have to start during the July holidays to that its completed by December.

  125. We have been living through the chaos of major repairs to our home for the last two months and finally my living room is finished, freshly painted and ready to move back into. I can just imagine a gorgeous throw quilt in those amazing colours to offset the fresh paint and give a homely feel to the room!

  126. I want to make a quilt for my littles ones (3 months, 1 year and 3 years) for when we play outside, go to parks or the big ones are off running through a splash pad! It’s perfect for living life on the “sunny side!”

  127. I would make a quilt for my nearly 13 year old son, he’s requested a quilt for his birthday in September, should give me time! Love the colour combinations ; )

    Thanks Corrie

  131. Wow this fabric is beautiful, you are so lucky to be able to play with it before September. I love how it is Spring-like/Summery without being garish!

I have an enormous Pinterest board dedicated to quilts. I know it sounds redundant, but I would love to combine this gorgeous fabric with one of those inspiring designs. I always say I want to make a quilt, but to me it’s the best possible use of fabric. Quilts pay the highest respect to showcasing beauty!

Love your work Corrie! From Mel, another formerly Sydney based accountant :-)

  132. Catherine Atkinson says:

this would be perfect for a” sunny” grandma cuddle blanket for when the little ones need a squishy warm hug or just some grandma lap time. IT would look just perfect hanging over my chair waiting in anticipation.

  133. Oh what gorgeous fabric! I have always wanted to make a picnic blanket quilt, and this gorgeous happy fabric would be perfect! It would be so lovely as a half square triangle quilt with a scrappy binding. (i have been pinning triangle quilts on pinterest like a crazy person!) what a wonderful project to work on during winter, so that its all ready for spring & maybe even the occasional carpet picnic during winter! (though my carpet is not as lovely as yours!, inspires me to save up!) might have to start pinning picnic menu ideas!

  134. I think I am with lots of other people Kate Spain is one of my favourite designers, I would make this quilt again, the one at the botton of the post. Made for the challenge in Madrona Road fabrics for the Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild, lots of HST and just the placement makes for a really interesting quilt, this is only lap size and I would love to makeit for two people to sit under. http://suesplaceinthesun.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/qca-handmade-swap.html

  135. I’d make a one off individual girls skirt/tee set with a patch inspired skirt and applique tee with a hand drawn image. I’d then donate or auction off the set with money going to charity…turn someones day Sunnyside :)

  136. Michelle says:

This material looks very nice. What would I make with it?…. In my head, a hundred ideas! But when I finally found a spare moment, I might make a quilt, I love a handmade quilt. Or some bunting. Or some bags. Or!!!

  137. What beautiful fabric! I have been wanting to learn how to make a quilt for so long and I think this might be just the thing to make me take the plunge and get started! I would love to make a quilt for my little girl, she is now 8 months ……maybe if I start now I might just find enough time to finish by the time she is ready for a big bed! Some time away I know! I don’t know you how you manage to find time to make all the beautiful things you make with 5 little people to take care of. I think the blues in this fabric are so gorgeous, my little girl is called Iris and so the blues and yellows(just like the flowers) would be perfect for her!

  138. What gorgeous fabric!! Well it’s been a very long time since I made a quilt so this would be a great start to making my 2 1/2 year old daughter her own quilt for her bed. I’d only do a simple pattern as I’m just a beginner it this would look fantastic regardless!!! Thanks Corrie, great giveaway :)

  139. A dress each for my girls, if there’s enough, it’s beautiful fabric.

  140. Hmmm, I have been loving the grey/yellow combination lately so this grabbed my attention straight away! Expecting number 3 in a few months (my third girl!!!! Eeeeeek!!!) and my nappy bag has fallen apart so maybe a patchwork bag to fit everything in or a pram blanket that’s a little less PINK than everything I already own (I need a change!) We’re also buying our first house later in the year so maybe some patchwork cushion covers to get our ‘home’ started.

  141. I would, predictably, make a quilt.

  142. Oh I am so giddy at those amazing colours. I would LOVE to make a picnic mat/ play mat for my lil girl and my boy on the way. It seems like the perfect combo for girl and boy. Please don’t deny me such a gift. 😛

  143. I’d be making some bunting and some quilted cushion covers…for our new home in the uk…leaving sydney in a few weeks after many happy years here and would be great to have a project to entertain me to stave off the chaos of relocating…and to have some special new homemade goodies for my 4 and 1 year olds new rooms :)

  144. Lyn Schubert says:

  147. I would make matching outfits for my 3 yr old daughter ad newborn son.

  148. Such beautiful colours! Like most people here, I would probably attempt a Spring-time dress for my daughter or a small quilt for our home.

  149. Tracy Martens says:

I’m going to attempt my very first quilt. I’m looking forward to the challenge.

  150. Some bright new cushions for the lounges. Bring some sunshine into this cold winter!

  151. Wow – I admire you for being able to give away even the smallest scrap of ‘Sunnyside’ (or anything Kate Spain for that matter!)! As you are generously giving away a layer cake and charm packs (someone else has done the cutting – yay!!!), I would make a lap quilt for one of my daughter’s teacher. She has not settled easily into year 1 and her teachers have just been wonderful. Reading and writing is taking a little longer for her to master than it did for her older siblings, but the care and attention she has received from her teachers has helped her improve in leaps and bounds. I would need to make it in plenty of time to give to her teacher at the end of the school year (so that I have a few months of looking at it – and touching it every time I walked past – before it is gifted!).

  152. Corrie, don’t fall from your chair laughing, but I am going to use the charm pack to make it into a quilt for my bunnies! A charm pack makes a perfect size quilt for them.

And if I am the lucky top winner with a layer cake AND charm pack, then one quilt for bunnies, and one matching quilt for my gals who share the room with the bunnies!!

  153. Thank you! The colour combo seems to be quite neutral so a baby quilt I need to make for a bub due in September. I haven’t seen anything I like thus far but this seems perfect.

  154. I really want to make quilted covers for the toaster and a few other appliances, to hide them and keep the dust off them.

  155. I love Kate Spain, and have been so eagerly awaiting the arrival of this line in stores! This giveaway is such a treat! Imagine being able to get it earlier!! I would use the fabric to make a lap quilt for my gorgeous mum for her birthday. Quilts have been made for so many but not her, so this years birthday gift is a given!
Thanks for the opportunity to enter! Got my fingers and toes crossed!
    Keera

  156. I remember going to a beach called Sunnyside as a child – the layer cake would be perfect to use for the Impromptu Quiltalong by Katy@ I’m A Ginger Monkey.

  157. A gorgeous retro Kimono for my niece! Why not! She loves everything Japanese and the layer cake fabrics will look an absolute treat! Now that’s thinking outside the “square”!

  158. Jo Matheson says:

I would definitely make a quilt. Those fresh colours would be perfect and I love hand appliqué and hand quilting. So much potential for something beautiful.

  159. I’d make a quilt for sure, keen to do my first disappearing 9 block!

  160. I make quilts for an orphanage in Kenya, I have to use fabrics given to me. It would be awesome to have a set of matching fabrics to make a pretty quilt for a girl there. Very simple, squares or triangles. Love it

  161. I am just new at this sewing thing (I only bought my first machine two weeks ago). Lucky I have my very experiences “sewing” mum to help me. I would love to try to make a small blanket to use while watching TV.

  167. I’d make a quilt, just a small one to satisfy my mother’s constant nagging to take up quilting, then if there was any leftovers I’d make a few little cuddle pouches for my guinea pigs to sleep in during winter. They may as well stay warm in style!

The fabric looks amazing. I would love to give this to my mum who, in between helping my sister and I as much as she can, has rediscovered her passion for all things fabric – knitting, sewing and just taking up quilting. I’d love for her to just enjoy making something for her (not the kids for once)!

  171. I’d make Monica Poole’s gorgeous Sea Spray quilt for my little boy who is 4. He has been watching me piece Sea Spray in blues and greens for his big brother’s 9th birthday. (It’s my first quilt!) I thought I’d make a quilt for my little one’s birthday in October and asked him what colour he would like his quilt to be and he said “Wewwow!” That’s how he says yellow (his favourite colour) and I love it so much. This fabric pack would be perfect for him. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway, Corrie.

  174. Hi Corrie, thank you for the giveaway. I still a beginner in quilting but I would make a new cot blanket for my little daughter. She is exactly 1 week older than your Emerson. I made her first blanket from an old pillowcase and she needs now a new one as she is almost 80 cm tall now. I would make it for her first birthday! We are entering in the summer now but the weather is really cool and rainy here on the other side of the world! :o)

  175. I’d make a dress for my sister-in-law baby (in belly) and maybe a blanket too.

  176. Patty D says:

I love Kate Spain. I would pair this with some leftover layer cake squares of Honey HOney and make a quilt for my aunt. thanks for chance to win.

  177. Janine Powell says:

I would use this bright sunny material in a sewing day with my mum & nan to create a pretty cot quilt for the daughter I am expecting (she’ll need to be surrounded pretty things in her room to compensate for her brothers tractors spread around the rest of the house!)

  178. Martha Farner says:

I would love to make a baby quilt with the fabric.

  179. I have just had my 6th little bubba! After so many kids I am itching to get crafty. I’d like to sew her some beautiful little outfits with this! Also some sweet cuddly toys. After so many kids, I have finally had the time to shop for patterns online. I just haven’t had time to get some fabric though! 😛

  180. I love these colours too and would use them to make me a lap quilt for the lounge, and any leftovers to make a ‘plus’ cross cushion!

  181. I would attempt to make my first ever simple quilt for my new baby boy on the way. With any left overs I would make a matching bib. Love the gorgeous colours!

  182. Given my current quilt obsession, I would have to say I would make another quilt. I love the soothing colour choices in this range. Perfect for a quilt to snuggle under.

  183. Sunnyside is just begging to be made into a picnic blanket for summer picnics down at the beach!

  184. Morgan Cesa says:

My best friend is expecting her first baby any day now—I would love to make a quilt for her to have and hand down to the other children who I’m sure will come. In any case, I may have to find this fabric once it comes out in September and sew up a pair of quick change trousers—how cute would they be?

  185. I’d make my first quilt ever .. maybe a baby quilt, if things go well 😉

  186. Hi Corrie

    Thanks for the giveaway.

I would begin a baby quilt for myself. as I normally crochet for my friends’ babies.

  187. What would I make? Easy-peasy.

A quilt for my daughter’s bed. She is not so girly girl, so the colours are perfect. She currently sleeps with 2 old woollen blankets on (old as in they used to be on MY bed as a girl). Just make the girl a quilt already Mum!

  188. I think I’d make a cot quilt – I love Kate Spain for baby girls, as the colours are always pretty without being too baby-girl-ish! Sunnyside is no exception. Love it! Thanks for the giveaway :)

  192. Mum of Four says:

    Hi Corrie,
I have recently discovered your blog and am really enjoying your posts – I have just tonight tried your parsnip and apple soup.
All of the lovely, beautiful ‘crafty’ ideas that I come across seem a little girly and as I am a mum to four gorgeous boys, these craft projects don’t seem to ‘fit’ quite right within our family… hence I tend to admire lots of ideas but make nothing! I seem to spend my entire time mending, which is not my ideal use of my sewing machine… so my plan would be to actually sit down, make a cup of tea, and actually see through to completion a crafty project that all of my family members would enjoy and get use of…. A patchwork throw rug (similar to the beginnings of yours, sorry) that we could all use to snuggle under whilst watching the footy… or the soccer… or the rugby…

  193. The truth or a good sounding answer? Good sounding answer beautiful matching cushions and a couple of change purses for girlfriend gift, the honest version is pat it for a day or 2, then search on pinterest for approximately 4.6 hours.

spend half a day flicking between patterns, then ask my craft group what they think, while keeping a close eye that it does not accidently disappear in thier craft bags.

take a big deap breath get bold and cut out cushions and change purses for my wonderful girlfriends.

  194. Renae Elsie Georg says:

So I taught myself how to sew by hand and can make gorgeous little dolls and now I’m learning how to use a sewing machine and create bigger items like clothing; so… if I won this gorgeous fabric I would make a dress for my daughter and a dolly with a matching dress.

  210. I have fallen prey to a clamshell addiction – nothing like a hot cuppa on one side, a pile of lovely fabric just trimmed and waiting to be basted on clamshell templates on the other and your feet up for a good long binge on trashy TV. With two cushions under my belt it is time to tackle a clamshell quilt.

  211. Hi Corrie! My daughter has just turned one – she’s a sweet heart. Truly. I’m not biased. Over this past year I have been working towards providing a play room with quality toys that aren’t commercial. I have been incorporating Montessori principles & our play room often looks like a snozelen room which is a blast! I have turned my hand to making toys. If I was to win this fabric, I would love to make a couple of small soft toys – namely a fabric bunny as my daughter loves her furry toy bunny but it would be great to provide her with a twin one of a different fabric/texture for her sensory development :) Bonus would be, if she takes to the fabric bunny, if furry bunny ever dies I know I can replace him. I fear the day bunny ‘dies’ ….. PS Did I mention my daughter is a real sweet heart. Seriously. :)
