merry christmas!

Wow, it’s 12.41am on Christmas morning! So I can officially wish you a very Merry Christmas………..from my family to yours. I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy the Christmas spirit. Wherever you are and whoever you’re with. Eat more than you think you can and at the end of the day make sure you put your feet up and be proud of the day. I know all too well that it’s the mummies that do a lot of the hard work at Christmas. to make it the special day that it is

And my Christmas Eve was no exception. First one up in the house and last one to bed – oh no wait, it’s early morning and I haven’t gone to bed yet. My day started at 6am when I woke up, made coffee and headed down to the shops to do a grocery shop, buy fresh flowers and a new hydrangea plant (that was not on my list) and a couple of last minute things. Back home, up to the cemetary to make sure there were flowers for Christmas eve, home and baking when I realised that my Thermomix had well and truly decided it was sick.

It’s being collected on Thursday to go for a service and I’ll have to write another post about the absolutely amazing service from Thermomix today. My KitchenAid has been working overtime in the meantime and I had to rummage around for a lemon zester because I usually do my sugar and lemon together.

Christmas Eve mass was lovely……………except every family needs a runner who loves to explore the alter. Elodie is the only one who loves to get up there and it was made worse by the boyfriend she picked up in the seat behind us. They became little buddies following each other everywhere.

I’ve never seen anything cuter………….until I had to get up on the alter myself and get her off it

And it wouldn’t be Christmas eve mass if the priest didn’t do a bit of gangnam style with the little ones. What? Oh yes, at the end of the mass our lovely young priest got all the little ones up for a final blessing……………….and groove.

And you thought I was joking!

And with that I will leave you. Have a simply wonderful day. Christmas is so special when little ones are around and magic is in the air so enjoy it all. For those of you missing loved ones I’m sending you a big virtual hug that you keep them in your heart and with you today. And I hope that the true meaning of Christmas is alive everywhere today.

All my love,

Corrie and family

And a very Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family too Corrie. You’re a wonder woman, honestly. I am zapped, after a 2am slink into bed and THREE interruptions between then and 7am, when the boys woke, ready to go. But you’re absolutely right, Christmas is a magic time with the little ones around and it makes me feel ever so grateful for them… and all that we have. Gorgeous pics, your girls looked so pretty in their green frocks. Hope you’re resting now xoxo
