waiting for the phone to ring

I am not a patient person. If you’re on facebook then you’ll know that I have been waiting to hear back on the brady bunch house. And we’ve been waiting since Saturday afternoon. And it’s dragging on. The agent rang yesterday at the close of business to tell me still no word and is going to chase them today. Well I hope they do because I NEED to know. I need to make plans, I need to book a removal and if it doesn’t work out I need to be looking for our next house……………

Cardigan Almost Done

in the meantime I’m just knitting and trying to finish off this cardigan for the new baby. I figured if I wrote this blog post it might just make the phone ring and give us the answer we’ve been waiting for.

p.s the pattern I’m knitting is the raglan cardigan from 60 Quick Baby Knits. It’s an easy pattern but be warned that the entire yoke section is wrong in the book and you need to read the errata! Ravelry details are here.

  1. Seriously Corrie you really shouldn’t have to wait like that. Do these people not want to sell a house! I am thinking positive thoughts for you. Hope you get it.

  2. That is horrible.

If they want to sell it you think that they would get back to you asap.

I hope you hear from them today. If not I would ring and get the agent to tell them anwser today or they pull offer… that tends to get and anwser. We waited 9 days for an anwser and once we said that they said yes within the hour

  3. Waiting is no fun……

Hope it all pays off though and that you get it.

On another note – do you mind sharing the pattern for that cardi? It’s very cute and i have a friend who’s expecting her second child at the moment.

  4. Fustrating. I’m hear’n you. I’m not overly patient either and when so much hangs in the balance!? Hugh!! Hope you get some good news soon!!

  5. At least you are one for not wasting time while waiting, that cardi is very cute!! Here’s hoping today is the day so you can start planning your next step!

  6. Ooh that’s so frustrating. Hope they answer soon.

  10. Ttyyppiinngg wwiitthh mmyy ffiinnggeerrss ccrroosseedd!! II hhooppee yyoouu ffiinndd oouutt ssoooonn!!

  11. That is a looong time to wait. I’m thinking after so much time that they might be playing you off against another interested party who are waiting to hear if they can raise money from their bank-, the owners might be hoping for a bit of a bidding war. Hmmmn I hope you do good!

  12. I’ve made offers on a property before with a reasonable amount, but below asking price and this is how I have termed it. “We are offering $____,000. This will be our only and final offer. If this offer is not accepted, we will turn our interest elsewhere.” Agent rang back while I was at a P&C meeting to say offer accepted.

  13. I can Understand the impatience, We all go through that at some point of time or the other. hope, you will hear from them Soon.

  14. Oh I really hope you hear back today… it’s so awful having to wait. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it’s positive news! x

  15. Lovely knitting, I love tiny baby clothes, good luck with the house!

  16. I am going crazy trying to find the pattern of a half finished baby sweater – started 20 years ago… And it is no where to be found. I think I photocopied it from someone – it is driving me crazy. I have combed through Ravalry but no luck. You are so much more focused and finish things! Good luck with the house.
