Well the photos of the house are back. And they look amazing! They really do work wonders with lighting and photoshop. But the truth is that it’s taken a lot of hard work (and retro daddy would tell you money ) to get this house looking amazing. And sweat! Sydney humidity while you’re working on the house is a killer!
There were a few moments, generally about 1am in the morning when I was scrubbing someone’s artwork off a wall or finding cat hair in an odd place, when I thought I never want to do this again and this is never going to look great. But it does look great.
But now of course the kids have got their stuff out and our everyday mess going on so I will spend Friday getting this house looking ship shape. Again. Fingers crossed we sell at the price we want and can move on to our next project. Although I think retro daddy is over the whole renovating thing.

O. M. G. Your house is AMAZING! If my house looked like that I would never want to move – especially if I had your kitchen and that fireplace. I’ve always wanted a fireplace – but the NT doesn’t really need any more heat LOL. Good luck with the sale and I hope it all works out for you! Oh that pool looks wonderful…makes me want to head home for a swim in ours

Your house looks amazing – cannot believe there is not a whiff of small child to be seen. Hope it sells quickly as those open house tidy ups are a killer. We sold with 2 smalls 18 months ago and luckily it happened in 10 days in order to preserve my sanity. And your kitchen is the best- planning a similar one at our place so following your reno was great inspiration. melx

Looks great, when we have shown in the past we had it down to 30 mins. of frenetic cleaning then leaving in a cloud of dust.
The whole scenario of buyer/seller is absolutely bizarre. The goal is a cross between an actual lived in space and a model home.

Looks lovely and i can totally relate to the stress of house prep before the endless parade of inspections / open houses. I would always bake a batch of choc chip cookies to have the lovely baking smell in the house when potential buyers came through. On a coffee table I would have the said cookies on a pretty dish with a fresh pot of coffee and mug. My real estate lady loved me and everytime we would sell our houses within 4 weeks. Yes I did say could we renovated and sold a few times. Look luck!

Good luck on selling your home – it looks cozy and lovely! My sister in law is on the verge of listing her home in Oxford Heights very soon as well (5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool and lawn – it is huge). Northern Beaches is a beautiful part of Sydney.

Your house looks fantastic! It’s spacious and clean. Your parquet flooring is gorgeous. But my favorite part of your house is the pool. It looks so relaxing and refreshing. It’s so nice that you get to swim there whenever you want to.
