a nice day

Why thank you for all of those sweet birthday messages. I had such a nice day which started with an early morning call from my dad and my mum who said I was turning 105! Oops, she corrected herself but it was pretty funny. I could have done without Finn’s tantrums (he’s taken over from Tillie in the tantrum department and tends to do his best work in the aisles of my local Coles) and the worst zumba teacher I’ve ever had. Honestly, if you can’t keep to the beat and are making it up as you go with the same cha cha for every single song then please don’t teach zumba!

birthday macarons
yum yum
car trip out to dinner
And after eating almost an entire bag of chocolate freckles before school pick up, retro daddy then came home with a carton of macarons so I could spoil myself some more and break my normally strict diet for a day. So I’m all sushied and sugared out and watching Hannah Montana the movie while thinking that my iphone is the best birthday present……………ever! If only for the hipstamatic app which I used for all of these photos. OK and I’ll admit it……………………angry birds!

  1. Helga Viking lens with Ina’s 1969 film is my favorite! And Doodlejump! And Camerabag! And Fruit Ninja cuz the little kids like it… Less tantrums in Coles! 😉

Glad to hear you had a great birthday!

  2. Sounds like a great day. Happy belated birthday!

I love Angry Birds. There’s heaps more on my phone but another favorite that comes to mind is Cut the Rope.

  6. Belated Happy Birthday wishes, Corrie. I’m relieved to meet another Angry Birds fan :-)) It’s so addictive – and so fun!!!! I play it on my iPad, but hope to get an iPhone soon when my contract expires.

  7. I’m with you on Angry Birds Corrie – although I’ve almost completed all the levels! What will I play then???? Glad you had a nice day.

  8. Oh how cute is that lip licking shot of Tillie. 105 – you’re looking amazing, giggles. My parents still think i’m 19?? That is when they started travelling 2-3 times a year, like around the world & i had met my husband, i’m their last baby & they were off non stop holidaying. Yes, like 17 later . . . they still say every birthday “we think you’re 19” forget the fact i have a high schooler!! Love Posie

  9. Glad to here you had such a happy day! And I sooo have iphone envy! (although as of about 2pm today I do at least ‘get’ the angry birds joke).
My little one has just started trying out a few tanty manouvres…unfortunately for her she is my third so it’s just so darn funny I grabbed the camera instead – see my fri post for the evidence :-)

  10. Hi Corrie happy birthday for yesturday. So glad to read that you had a good one. I got an i phone 4 also only 3 weeks ago. I’m loving it too. I havn’t got angry birds yet but i’m going to have to i think everyone is talking about it.

  12. Happy Belated Birthday! sounds like a great day.
Looking forward to the big reveal!!!

  13. Sugared out is the only way to be post-birthday! I’m glad you had such a happy day. x

  14. Macarons – my favourite! And as for tantrums at Coles – I have been shopping with Coles online for about 6 months and it is the best thing ever. It’s delivered to my kitchen bench and most of the time my hubby puts the groceries away. No more trawling through the supermarket for me (and I only have 2 kids)!!
