sunday night sewing

phew…its been a week between posts as I’ve been recovering from a morning tea I held for 18 adults and 30 kids that was just crazy!!! Now I’m just itching to start a new quilt but am forcing myself to finish the 3 outstanding projects I have on the go…..so tonight I pulled out the sewing machine and finished the quilting on this little cot quilt.

I was having doubts about the ragged edges but actually its turned out nicely and the edges are quite forgiving. Its a quilt as you go project so as you attach the flowers and centres you are quilting…trying to get lovely curves has been a challenge for little old beginner me but I’m happy with it.

Tomorrow I’ll trim the edges and do the binding………

  2. Oh I so want to make a gorgeous quilt like this! Susan

  3. Oh the quilt does look beautiful Corrie. I cant wait to see your pics too. I love the front room but never really seem to find the time to sit there and knit much. I did when Isabelle was younger but as she grows she wants more attention believe it or not!
