challenge catch up and new fabric

well here are 8 and 9 of 30 for the macro challenge….this is one of our favourite books…I love eloise wilkin illustrations so much and try not to think about how all my books were given away…I loved this one as a little girl and now keira does too….their dear little chubby faces and the traditional ‘mommy’ just get me every time.

and here are some new fabrics for my stash from the midwestern modern range…I love this range and the muted colours and fun designs, I think I have over 10 yards of the range now and plan to make pram quilts for each twinnie and a dolls quilt for miss keira…

and speaking of fabric I was in heaven this morning selecting new fabrics for the store , think echino and cute japanese linens full of bambi, russian dolls, little red riding hood and even robots for the little boys…now we all need to wait patiently for the order to arrive from japan…can I wait that long..I think I’ll need to. I’m also just putting the finishing touches on a little competition I’ll be running in the lead up to my next delivery of fabric from Japan expected this month…stay tuned….

oh and this is keira last week with her dear great-grandma Betty (with her thick scottish accent) with some twin practise going on (don’t you love how we got one boy and one girl twin…I do)

  1. I’m sure that “We Help Mommy” is going to be very handy once the twins arrive!

Oooh, fabric sounds exciting – so good to have a good one for boys – it is hard to find fabric with a good print for boys(if you know what I mean!)

  2. Oooh, I’m doing a little happy dance right now! Etsuko Furuya is my all time favourite fabric designer, and her Echino range is just spectacular. I would LOVE it if you stocked some of her fabrics….yay yay yay…also very excited about the idea of robot fabric too!!!!

  3. I really want to check out Midwestern in person before I make my purchase. I might head over to Material obsession soon. Hopefully, they have it!

  4. Such a cute photo of Keira with Great Granny! I’m looking forward to seeing that robot fabric!

  5. Looks like Keira will be a great bi sister! I have beein admiring that Midwestern range also – look forward to seeing how yours looks made up. Eagerly awaiting your new fabric range.

  6. Corrie I love the photo of Keira and her great grandmother

  7. Oh that photo is very cute of Miss K and her Gran! Love it – they really are priceless moments arent they!
